Are you looking for a real cool mountain experience ? Then you should choose this tour, which takes you up to the eternal ice area directly on the glacier plateau of   Mount Kitzsteinhorn at an altitude of 3.029 m (10.000 ft.). Up there you can take a stroll on the glacier or you just walk straight throug the panorama tunnel   to reach the panorama terrace Glocknerkanzel on the other side of the mountain. From there the highest peak of Austria, Mount Großglockner, and also many other summits of the Austrian Alps over 3000 m (9.400   ft) can be seen from a very short distance, a real breathtaking view!

Leaving the city of Salzburg southwards,   this tour takes us first to the beautiful mountain town Zell am See. After a nice break in this lovely place next to lake Zell we will head forward past Kaprun to the cable car station for Mount Kitzsteinhorn. Three modern cable car sections will take us up to the ice- and glacier region. The way back follows a different route via Lofer and the Bavarian countryside (German corner as we call it) back to the city of Salzburg.
